Sarah Coventry Fashion Flower Brooch Aurora Borealis Rhinestones
Vintage 1970's goldtone floral brooch by Sarah Coventry from the Fashion Flower line set with sparkling red aurora borealis rhinestones. The elaborate yet delicate brooch features a ten petal flower with its stem and two leaves. The flower consists of two offset layers of five filigree petals. Each of the ten petals are set with an 4mm aurora borealis rhinestone. The petals surround a large (10mm) aurora borealis rhinestone set in the center of the flower. The smooth curved stem of the flower supports two openwork chased leaves, which at their intersection have a single 7mm aurora borealis rhinestone. The very end of the stem is cut diagonally like that of a freshly cut flower, adding to the sculptural quality and form of the piece. The entire brooch is made of a goldtone coating over a base metal. The aurora borealis rhinestones shift colors depending on the light, and all do show the characteristic red tone with blue and green undertones of aurora borealis rhinestones. It measures 3.75 inches long by 1.75 inches wide. Marked SARAHCOV with the copyright symbol on the back of the brooch. Working rolling clasp and pin In excellent functioning condition. Fun to display on your lapel, blouse or a great addition to a contemporary fashionable bridal bouquet made with costume jewelry floral pins.
