A beautiful genuine antique Art Nouveau silver vesta case pendant c1900, with double-sided design of a lucky four-leaf clover, beautifully stylised with flowing, sinuous lines and characteristic 'whiplash' element to the stem. Marked '835' for continental silver and a couple of other stamps, one of which I think is the French boar's head.
The lid closes securely with spring still strong, and due to the chunky hanging loop, makes a perfect alternative to a more traditional locket pendant - there is enough room inside for photos, stamps, a memento, etc. Looks great on a longer-length neck chain.
MEASUREMENTS: Just under 1 3/4" high and 1 3/8" wide. 12.9g weight.
CONDITION: Lovely antique condition with no dents, only superficial surface wear - please view all close-up photos. Lid is a little on the stiff side when opened, but closes very securely. Any display forms/chains used are for photography purposes only.
