This lovely position baby was made by the German firm Gebruder Heubach around 1910. This all bisque baby lays on her back and has her arms and legs up raised. The The right hand plays with the left foot as she raises her head to look around. The bisque is all good with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Gebruder Heubach was known for their beautiful modeling and excellent painting of their forms. The eyes are intaglio and painted blue, single stroke eye brows, softly blushed cheeks and she has an open/closed mouth. The hair is softly molded and painted blonde. The hands and feet are just as detailed as the face. On the bottom is the mark of Gebruder Heubach impressed into the bisque. This piece is 5 1/2" long and 3 1/2" tall, a great cabinet size baby.
