This figure is probably from the late 1700's early 1800's. The creche figure is all original and is in excellent condition. He is a man of the town with reverse painted eyes, a very specific character of the town. He has all of his fingers which are beautifully articulated. His face is very wonderfully modeled with deep wrinkles . His clothing is in excellent condition: linen pants, linen shirt, linen vest and silk vest. His shoes are leather wrapped with string and long linen stockings. He would be an excellent addition to your creche. This figure is 9" tall. The is some paint loss on his clay head and hands due to his age.
