Hand crafted folk art type pottery vase, three applied handles connecting shoulder to mouth. Unsigned but probably Waco, Kentucky pottery made between 1922 and 1942. Unusual mauve matte glaze, please note the images show the color of the vase as somewhat darker than it actually is and also a bit more pink in hue than it is in natural daylight. Cameras just sometimes refuse to pick up true color for some objects. Light crazing from age, visible inclusions in the local clay body, no chips or cracks. Some firing imperfections typical for this pottery. Silky smooth to the touch, this is a beautifully sculpted piece. 5 inches tall and taking the handles into account, about as wide.
Uncommon antiques for the investor and choice collectibles for the clever collector.
