Amphora vase with gourd shaped base topped with bulbed neck and a small gilt mouth. Hand decorated with sprays of pale blue and white flowers on a cobalt blue and white ground, richly accented with a complimentary floral motif in raised gold enamel. Made by the Amphora Porcelain Works of Reissner, Stellmacher, and Kessel in the Turn-Teplitz region of Bohemia. Beautiful condition, no chips or cracks. It probably has always sat protected inside a cabinet.
Impressed oval "Amphora" mark on base along with "D" and "524" and also stamped with the "Turn-Teplitz-Bohemia RStK Made in Austria" mark in red. Additional hand painted gold letters are likely the artist's mark.
Measures 8 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches at widest portion of body and base diameter is 3 1/4 inches.
A similarly painted vase on a different shape is also listed in my shop.
