Late 19th Century Peloton vase with electric blue colored threads of glass overlaid on a transparent body. Creased and dimpled areas common to this type of art glass created by applying the short spaghetti-like filaments onto a base form of glass still hot and elastic from the furnace and then reheating to meld. 4 inches tall, excellent condition. The images of the vase taken indoors against the cream colored background make the blue threading look darker than they are. The last three pictures were taken outside in natural daylight and they illustrate the color of the blue much better.
