Tall porcelain mug or cup made by Victoria Austria for Cudahys Rexoma a bouillon type product popular around the turn of the 20th century that was sold as 'hot beef tea' at drug store soda fountains. When buying the product wholesale the Cudahy Packing Co. supplied retailers with advertising cups like this as part of their commercial package.
Cup measures 3 5/8 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches across top and handle, base diameter is 2 3/8 inches. Has two shallow flakes on foot rim, one of which is glazed so it would have occurred at manufacture (illustrated). Gold trim on rim is worn. Base stamped with red "Victoria Austria" crown mark of Schmidt & Co., of Altrohlau, Austria (Bohemia and part of Czechoslovakia after 1918).
