Large Antique Sterling Marshall & Fields Co Serving Spoon - 92.5 Grams
This gorgeous antique spoon is made of sterling silver with an openwork picture story design. It has a detailed design of a family picking fruit. maybe oranges, in the bowl. The father is on a ladder, the boy is below him with a basket, the mother looks to be holding fruit in her apron and is handing something to the little girl. There is a country church in the background. The handle has a man with his dog. This large heavy spoon could be used as a berry or fruit spoon, or for serving Bon Bons. It measures about 8 5/8" long by slightly over 3 3/16" across the widest point of the bowl. The weight is about 92.5 grams. Good antique condition with light age wear. There is a small irregularity on the back that was in the making as seen in the last photo (on the right side). The sterling has a nice warm patina (tarnish) that we have left untouched. Really beautiful to display. Reasonable offers are welcome and we're happy to answer any questions you may have. You will treasure this!!!
