Art Deco Blue Glass Lucky Symbols Vintage Estate Brooch
This gorgeous 1930s Art Deco era brooch is done in a brass colored metal. It has a beautiful poured or molded glass doughnut shaped circle with a flower and leaf design. It is held in place by the metalwork - it will turn, but can't be removed. The glass is a pretty color of blue,,, I would almost call it a chalcedony blue. During the Art Deco era, Oriental or Asian themes were popular metalwork and the metalwork has good fortune of luck characters; I don't know if they are Chinese or Japanese. The brooch measures slightly over 2 5/8" across by about 13/16" across the glass stone. Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear including darkening and wear to brass on the metalwork. The glass is in good condition and any lines you see are part of the pattern. You will love this!!!
