This gorgeous Edwardian to Art Deco era souvenir spoon is made of sterling silver and the handle has a design of Avalon Bay and reads CATALINA ISLAND. This was made before the Casino was built. There are boats, houses and buildings. The spoon is a teaspoon size and measures about 5 3/8" long by about 1 1/16" across the bowl. The weight is about 16 grams. It is signed with the marks of a crown, initial W and left facing lion which is the maker's mark of WATSON, NEWELL & CO. of Attleboro, Massachusetts. They produced sterling flatware, souvenir spoons, holloware, vanity items and novelties. Good condition with light age wear. We haven’t polished this. Perfect for the collector of Catalina memorabilia or the California collector. You will treasure this!!!
