Victorian Columbian Expo Isabella Spoon
1893 Sterling Worlds Fair Antique Estate Spoon - Queen Isabella & Womens Building
This Victorian era Columbian Expo spoon is made of sterling silver with a gold wash in the bowl. On the handle, it has a figure of Queen Isabella with crown and the date 1492 when Columbus made his voyage to America. The bowl reads COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION CHICAGO 1893 - WOMAN'S BLDG. The back of the handle has a design of a ship. It is a demitasse sized spoon and measures about 4 1/4" long by 13/16" across the bowl. Signed with a little maker's mark and also marked STERLING and PAT. 1893. The weight is about 7.1 grams. Good antique condition with light age wear.
