Antique Champleve Enamel & Sterling Charles Robbins Estate Sash Pin Brooch
This fabulous antique late Victorian to Edwardian era turn of the century sash pin is made of sterling silver (except the pinstem and clasp) and is champleve enameled in a beautiful silvery white color with a delicate green and gold leaf and berry design. There is a gorgeous pattern under the white enamel. It measures in between 2 11/16" and 2 3/4" across by about 1 3/4" high. It has a clasp that is like the head of a safety pin with no safety. Signed with the hallmarks of American maker CHARLES M. ROBBINS of Attleboro, Mass. - initials CMR inside a diamond shape (very hard to read) followed by the arm with a sword mark and a robin bird mark, and also marked CHAMPLEVE STERLING. Good antique condition with age appropriate wear. The enamel is in good condition with a few scratches here and there, but nothing that detracts. You will treasure this!!!
