Antique Sterling Ship Constitution Ironsides Estate Souvenir Spoon
This gorgeous antique Victorian or Edwardian era spoon is made of sterling silver with a light gold wash in the bowl. The front of the handle has a tall ship design and reads OLD CONSTITUTION 1812. Also seen on the front of he handle are a tiny rowboat with men in it, an anchor and scallop sea shells. The back of the handle reads OLD IRONSIDES. The spoon is a demitasse size and measures about 4 1/8" long by 7/8" across the bowl. Signed with the maker's mark of a fancy initial D which is one of the marks of Wm. B Durgin Co (which later became a part of Gorham) and also marked STERLING PAT'D J.H.H. The weight is about 10.9 grams. Good antique condition with light age wear. You will love this!!!
