Antique GORHAM Sterling Brooklyn Souvenir Spoon
This gorgeous antique Victorian or Edwardian era spoon is made of sterling silver with a light gold wash in the bowl. The bowl reads CITY OF CHURCHES and the handle reads - The Brooklyn Church 1776 - Brooklyn Bridge 1883 and on the back - Breukelen 1667 (taken from the Dutch name That later became Brookline or Brooklyn) - Fulton Ferry 1746. The spoon measures about 4 3/16" long by 7/8"across the bowl. The weight is about 15.4 grams. Signed with the hallmarks of a right facing lion, and anchor and the fancy letter G for GORHAM and also marked C. Adams & Co. Good antique condition with light age wear. A very nice find for the New York or travel souvenir collector. You will treasure this!!!
