Antique 1903 Sterling Shamrock Clover Spoon - London
This gorgeous antique British Edwardian era spoon is made of sterling silver. It has a great design with a rat tail handle with a beautiful twisted area in the center. At the top of the handle is a cluster of shamrocks or clovers. The spoon is a demitasse size and measures about 4 1/4" long by a little over 3/4" wide across the bowl. The weight is about 9.1 grams. It has hallmarks of the lion passant for sterling, the uncrowned leopard head for London and date mark for 1903. It is signed with the maker's marks of the initials CS FS with a star in between - which is the mark of CORNELIUS SAUNDERS & FRANCIS SHEPHERD. Good antique condition with light age wear. What a great find for the collector of English sterling. You will treasure this!!!
