This awesome vintage charm is made of sterling silver. It is shaped like a map of New Hampshire and reads OLD MAN OF MT. - CONCORD - MANCHESTER - NASHUA. The Old Man of the Mountain was one of the most famous sites in New Hampshire. From the right angle, the cliff had a profile of a man. The first recorded mention of the Old Man was in 1805. The Old Man collapsed on May 3rd, 2003 and some people were so distraught that they left flowers at the base of the cliff as a tribute. This charm was probably made in the 1960s back when the Old Man was alive and well. The charm measures almost 3/8" across by about 3/4" high not including the ring. Marked STERLING and has a tiny maker's mark of the initial F inside a circle. Good vintage condition with light age wear. Perfect to add to a travel souvenir bracelet. It would be fun to make a bracelet of all of the states. To see if we have your state, just type state charm into the search box above. You will love this!!!
