Sterling Miner Cripple Creek Antique Signed Estate Souvenir Spoon
This gorgeous antique souvenir spoon is made of sterling silver. It has a detailed design in the bowl and reads INDEPENDENCE MINE - CRIPPLE CREEK, COLO. The top of the handle depicts a full figure of a lucky miner who is holding a large nugget of gold. The spoon measures about 3 3/8" long by 11/16" across the bowl. The weight is about 5.2 grams. It is signed with the hallmarks of a crown, the initial W and left facing lion which is the maker's mark of WATSON, NEWELL & CO. of Attleboro, Massachusetts. They produced sterling flatware, souvenir spoons, holloware, vanity items and novelties. Good antique condition with light age wear and we have not polished this. Perfect for the Colorado collector. You will treasure this!!!
