This is a nice old lucite brooch, probably made in the 1940s. It is made of clear lucite and reverse carved with a viking ship or boat on the sea. It is a very unusual design for a lucite brooch - usually you see flowers. It is painted on the reverse in colors of red, amber, blue and black. It measures about 1 15/16" by 1". It fastens with a simple wire C clasp with no safety. There is light surface scratching and there is a pinhole where the clasp was first placed higher then moved to where it is now - it was in the making. A great find for the collector of early plastic jewelry!!!
