Antique Sterling Lily of the Valley Whiting Estate Spoon - Souvenir of Windsor - Circa 1890s
This gorgeous Victorian era spoon is made of sterling silver with a beautiful lily of the valley flower design on the front of the handle. The bowl reads WINDSOR and the back of the handle is engraved MAY 26TH 1891. There are many places in American named Windsor as well as many places abroad. Let this spoon remind you of whatever Windsor you love. It is a teaspoon sized spoon and measures slightly over 5 3/4" long by about 1 3/16" across the bowl. The weight is about 24.5 grams. Signed with the maker's mark of a winged lion with a shield which is the mark of WHITING and also marked STERLING. Good antique condition with age appropriate wear. It has a nice warm light patina (tarnish) that we have left untouched. You will treasure this!!!
