Antique GORHAM STERLING Signed Berry or Sugar Serving Spoon - Versailles Pattern Victorian
This gorgeous estate Victorian era spoon is made of sterling silver. The handle has an elaborate design of a cherub playing a harp or musical instrument. The back of the handle is engraved with the fancy initial S. The spoon is a smaller serving size and measures about 6 1/16" long by about 1 1/2" across the bowl. Signed with the lion, anchor and fancy G mark of GORHAM and also marked STERLING and COPYRIGHTED 88. The weight is about 33.1 grams. From what I've read, this pattern is circa 1880s and had different motifs. Good antique condition with light age appropriate wear including a light dimple in the bowl. You will treasure this!!!
