Antique Sterling CHIPPENDALE OLD Signed Alvin Estate Child or Infant Feeding Spoon - Engraved Aurelia
This gorgeous antique spoon is made of sterling silver in the pattern Chippendale Old which was designed by Frederick Habensack. The Chippendale Old pattern is circa 1900 - turn of the century. This is engraved AURELIA in the bowl and was engraved with a date on the back of the handle. I can't tell if the date is Christmas Day 12-25-12 or if it is 12-23-12...sometimes it's hard with the fancy old engraving. I took a close up photo so you can decide. The spoon measures about 5 1/8" long by 1" across the bowl. The weight is about 13.4 grams. It is marked STERLING and signed with the maker's mark of ALVIN and marked PATENT. Good antique condition. You will love this!!!
As of this listing, we also have a teaspoon size in this pattern from the same estate - item number 13222 - which is engraved Amelia...probably the sister of Aurelia.
