Antique Seattle Estate Spoon with Grape Handle - Souvenir of Washington
This gorgeous antique American spoon is made of sterling silver with a beautiful design of grapes on the handle. The bowl is engraved SEATTLE WASH. The spoon is a demitasse size and measures about 3 15/16" long by 13/16" across the bowl. Signed with the initials SSMC which is the mark of STERLING SILVER MANUFACTURING COMPANY of Providence Rhode Island who produced from 1909 - 1932. They sold their flatware designs to SAART BROS of Attleboro, Massachusetts. We would estimate this was made in the 1910s. The weight is about 6.8 grams. Good condition with age appropriate wear. We haven't cleaned or polished this and it has slight patina (tarnish) which you can polish or not as desired. You will love this!!!
