Antique Sterling Lady Picking Fruit Spoon - Mayer Bros Souvenir of North Yakima Washington
This gorgeous American Victorian or Edwardian era antique estate spoon is made of sterling silver and is engraved NORTH YAKIMA WASH in the bowl. The handle depicts a lady picking fruit - I'm not sure if they are apples or oranges. The spoon is a teaspoon size and measures about 5 1/2" long by just shy of 1 13/16" across the bowl. It weighs about 23.3 grams. It is signed with the MB and miner's pickaxe and shovel mark of JOSEPH MAYER & BROTHERS of Seattle, Washington and also marked STERLING. Good antique condition with light age appropriate wear. The sterling has a nice warm patina (tarnish) that we have left untouched. You will treasure this!!!
