Fabulous STERLING Sigillum Universitatis Kansiensis Enameled Kansas University Antique Spoon
This fabulous antique spoon has a beautiful Nouveau lady in flowing gowns holding a enameled emblem reading Sigillum Universitatis Kansiensis - the symbol for the University of Kansas. It was established in 1865. The spoon is made of sterling silver with blue and red enameling on the emblem. The back of the handle has the full figure in gown. Spoon measures just over 5 1/4" long by 1 1/8" across the bowl. The spoon weight is about 22.3 grams. The spoon reads A. MARKS - STERLING. Good condition with light age wear. Great find for the Kansas collector, or alumni of the University! You will love it!
