This is a wonderful pair of sterling silver earrings from extremely hard to find artisan, Frank Kulik. In 25 years of collecting, buying and selling silver objects I have had very few items made by this artisan signed Kulikraft. The earrings feature a beautiful double rose motif and close with well working screwbacks. Exquisite workmanship and truly a piece of art!
Mr. Kulik worked at one time for Towle Silversmiths, then worked on his own and also taught silversmithing classes in the Amesbury, Massachusetts area. Very little is known about his work and it's too bad because his work is just exceptional. Mr. Kulik produced exquisite silver work from the 1940s to the 1980s, he passed away in 2008 at age 84. His work went to many famous people including Pope John Paul II, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and Princes William and Harry. Thank you to PRC for this information; PRC is a fellow silver lover who knew Mr. Kulik personally.
