A lovely Antique French Faience or Porcelain Tin-glazed super Cup with pink-purple 'camaieu' pigment of raised relief decorations of arrows in a sheath surrounded by ivy vines tied in a French bow with an exquisite hand-painting of a French country-side that is a raised, molded-framed door with hinges and a latch, also raised-relief.. with raised circles on base with raised designs on handle in perfect condition, as if never used!.. amazing for approximately 140 years old. All designs are molded/raised up except for the hand-painted scene in frame... The tin-glazed surface sparkles and has a soft-blue tint like pearlware glaze.. Fine detail even more so in person, especially on the country scene.. Measures 5" high x 5 1/4" wide including handle.. Quite rare.. seriously!! antique Gien mark from 1871-1875.. the couple of tiny dots are from the blue used in the glaze.. Listing another; slightly different.
