Lovely Antique French Porcelain Box,"Bourdois & Achille Bloch", circa 1885,Boucher/Watteau style painting on lid with wonderful reserves of landscapes surrounding on 4 sides, with spectacular Meissen- style flowers in the interior; all comparable to KPM, Sevres & of course, Meissen, bronze ormolu mounts, hinges worked perfectly,clasp is enamel-work and not hard stones, all hand-painted & signed by artist "Trepioni" on the right lower side of top, in very good condition with the only the top of lid hairlines restored, everything else is perfect,exquisite moriage-beading & C-scrolls all intact!,porcelain sits perfectly in bronze mounts, very secure, excellent, a stunning delicate ,well drawn piece of art,known for their very white porcelain,. Measures; 7" Long.X 5" Wide. X 2 1/2"High. Heavy- weight, substantial porcelain. Signed on back "France" with a cartouche of a Crown with a Cross, the mark of the French firm of Bourdois & Achille Bloch that associate with Porcelain de Paris that is highly esteemed for the excellence of their artists & there is some gold writing that we cannot decipher....
