Antique James Wardle, "Teck Ware" Jug or Pitcher, circa 1896-1902. of two sailboats;one on each front, nice rich,sumptuous glaze with crazing under the glaze, a small chip restored near the spout.. please see close-ups, the rest in very good condition, the interior staining on the rim is not staining but manufacturer's colors, the interior is super clean. Signed by Artist F. Bagley and a Crown English Registry & "Wardle England" . Measures 6"H X 7" W. Very heavy; well-potted. "Teck Ware" named after the Duchess of Teck, mother of Queen Mary, was first made in 1896. This ware considered to be very high-end; calling it "Royal" Teck ware because of it's unique manufacturing processes.
