Beautiful Antique Ulysse Blois Tray by Emile Balon in exquisite details with sterling silver accents on crown jewels and center of flowers.. with a single brush-hair fine painting.. I was a textile designer of flowers primarily and I am so impressed with the artist's technique.. never saw Daisies painted on Blois faience before.. The Ulysse Blois pottery faience company , located in the town of Cheverny in the Loire Valley was located near the Chateau de Blois. The Blois factory was started in 1862 and closed in 1953. Emile Balon was one of the most talented artists as is evident by his workmanship. The glaze is rich, heavy and vibrant.. In very good , perfect condition.. not even a slight scratch.. looks as if it was just made! measures 16" long x 10 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" high.. I believe this Tray to be rare...
