A Fascinating Antique Delft Charger covered in a thick creamy white tin-glaze over a buff-coloured earthen ware body. The surface looks like heavy cream with a lovely pebblely surface that collects in puddles on the back mostly.. The border is also completely painted by hand and although each section is the same motifs they are different when we look at the details because they were painted by hand.. Fascinating! on such a large scale.. The country cottages in the distance are so charming and inviting.. very lovely.. Signed in back AK.. after research There were two AK.. one shown in Kovel's book "Dictionary of Marks' page 5 as A.Kiell and then on the Internet AK is for Albrecht de Keyser 1650's ( also spelled Aelbrecht de Keiser ) .. right now, February 10th, there is a small plate for sale with AK on the internet Albrecht de Keyser .. From all that I have seen, I believe this is Albrecht de Keyser.. Measures 16" across x 2 1/4"" high
