This is a creamer and sugar bowl basket from A L Limoges France. The creamer is 5-3/8" long and stands 3-1/2" from table to top of handle. There is a bit of gilt wear on the sides of the handle of both creamer and sugar basket. The basket is 5-1/8" long and stands 4-3/4" from table to top of handle. Both are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. They are pink inside (like a shell) and have a matte glaze on the outside with hand painted pink flowers. The basket has two small spots that look like rust but we haven't washed them.
We are listing many items from a home in the Victorian area of Los Angeles, Angeleno Heights. The house was built in 1922 (and considered quite modern compared to many Victorian homes in the neighborhood) and our friend's family has lived there since then. Most of the items are from the 20s-40s. Our friend's mother, the second generation to live in the house, collected salt cellars and spoons, Limoges and Japanese china, thimbles, bells and more.
