This is a large 3" Eisenberg Original dress clip. We think this particular piece from the old house in Angeleno Heights is from the 20s or 30s. It appears to have many missing stones but on close inspection with a magnifier, they seem to be present but darkened. The turquoise colored bead on the right, third from the top, does seem to be missing. The second red (prong set) stone from the top on the left has a chip off the front. Please examine our photos. We welcome questions or comments since we do not always know what to look for on old jewelry. It is a dramatic piece and stood out immediately when we saw it with other jewelry.
We are listing many items from a home in the Victorian area of Los Angeles, Angeleno Heights. The house was built in 1922 (and considered modern compared to many Victorian homes in the neighborhood) and our friend's family has lived there since then. Most of the items are from the 20s-40s. Our friend's mother, the second generation to live in the house, collected salt cellars and spoons, Limoges and Japanese china, thimbles, bells and more. This dress clip may have belonged to the wife of the home's architect/contractor.
