We have 4 footed glass salt cellars and 4 spoons from the same collection. 3 of the spoons are marked STERLING (badly tarnished) on the back and the large Viking looking spoon is Swedish Wege Tenn pewter. The salt cellars seemed perfect to the eye but there is one rough edge and 2 corners that are not sharp. We photographed them but they are mostly evident with the touch test. Our friend took her mother to many head shops in the 60s to search for some of the precious salt spoons for her old salt cellar collection. The cellars are 2" x 1-3/8" and stand about 1". The large Swedish spoon is 2-1/2".
We are listing many items from a home in the Victorian area of Los Angeles, Angeleno Heights. The house was built in 1922 (and considered modern compared to many Victorian homes in the neighborhood) and our friend's family has lived there since then. Most of the items are from the 20s-40s. Our friend's mother, the second generation to live in the house, and grandmother collected salt cellars and spoons, Limoges and Japanese china, thimbles, bells and more.
