Thomas Holland 1917-2004 was born in Alameda, California, Thomas Holland studied at the college of Arts and Crafts under their gifted children program and later studied on the University of California's Berkeley campus.
He won a scholarship to study in Rome which was interrupted by World War II.
He served in the United States Army Air/Corps. Following the war he continued his studies at the University of Mexico.
Holland has punched cattle for a living,worked in the Indian country of the great southwest where the horse is a way of life, was a western history buff and an avid polo player. His horses and Western pieces are considered among the finest anywhere in the world. This work of art was sold at the Merrill Chase Art Galleries, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
