Here's an exceptionally clean, large mantel clock made in 1913 by Junghans of Germany, once the largest clock manufacturer in the world. The eight-day movement strikes a warm, stately gong on the hour and a quarterly portion of the Westminister melody every 15 minutes. There are
two adjustments on the front of the dial to turn off the chime and to regulate time-keeping accuracy. These old Junghans will perform for centuries if cleaned and oiled every forty years or so. This one is presently running perfectly.
It measures 13-1/2" tall, 8" deep and 11-1/2" wide. The case is a dark mahogany and overall gorgeous. Much nicer than the pictures!
