Here's a battered veteran of many an English pub brawl! Structurally sound but cosmetically compromised, it will still hold a quart of ale with the best of them. Marked "QUART"and VR (Victoria Regina) excise stamp. On the bottom marked by the makers Gaskell & Chambers, Birmingham, who purchased inventory and equipment from James Yates, and attached their mark on what was a Yates tankard. An interesting old pot that could tell a lot of stories!
