An unusually well-designed and constructed formal parlor table that could do service as a lamp table or in an entry way if desired. The handsome black marble top is beveled and serpentine contoured to follow the profile of the American walnut frame.

Although it is quite heavy (50 lbs.) the table displays none of the "shakiness" or structural decrepitude usually associated with this type of table. It is rock solid. The original marble is perfect with no cracks or repairs and is black except for the grain accents which appear to be sections of prehistoric marine life embedded in the stone. The walnut has a beautiful patina and has never been refinished.
Top dimensions are 20" X 28", and height is 29".

Because of its weight and fragility of the marble it is recommended that the table be picked up here in Richmond which will save the buyer the cost of shipping. Alternatively, we will deliver up to 100 miles for $50. Beyond that, inquire.

A real antebellum gem that deserves a prominent place in a prominent home!
