A lovely teapot that Jane Austen might have poured tea from! Octagonal bodied design, decorated with a blue transfer border and hand-painted with blue and red flowers. The flared octagonal foot is likewise edged with blue pickets.
Condition is nice for its age, with very little staining and light glaze crazing overall. There is an old repair to the lip that is not obvious unless you are looking for it, and a couple of small chips at the inner rim that are covered by the top.
Unusually large, it measures 10" tall and 11" from spout to handle.
A functionally decorative period teapot that you can be proud to own!
