Here's a really large impressive Chinese Ching dynasty vase adorned with vivid blue peacock atop a garden vase surrounded by trees, flowers and shrubs. Foo dog handles were supposedly outlawed as a decorative motif by the Empress in 1874. Background color is almost a light celadon-tinged white.
Condition is exceptional except for a small rough void along the inner rim.
There is also a forked hairline in the glaze of the bottom that does not go through the ceramic.
Measurements are: 17" height, 8" across at shoulder, 7" at top.
