A large, dramatic black glazed ovid vessel with a narrow mouth and base presents a look something akin to a contemporary version of a native American Accoma pot. Aside from the glaze-etched naturalist shapes (sea grasses, waves and leaf silhouettes) the deft use of brown and gold under colors distinguish this unique vase. Condition is perfect.
Created by master potter Kathleen King sometime in the 80's when she she lived in Tampa Florida, this 10" tall vase (soccer ball sized) would look striking by itself in a display or with several shafts of thistle or cattail.
