From the estate of Richmond Radio & Television celebrity, Harvey Hudson, comes this fine solid American Walnut drop leaf table that could be used for dining or other functions where maximal surface area and minimal footprint are issues. With the leaves folded it measures only 24"X 48", but with them up it becomes 48" X 64"---large enough to seat 6 people! Or, you can position it against a wall with leaves down or one up as a serving table. The height is 30".
This is an especially nice rendition of this style table as the top is made from two solid walnut boards and the leaves one each. The leaves also have the two extra swing out legs which give much better support than brackets or sliders. Additionally, the leaves were constructed with "butcher block" ends a clever original feature which prevents boards this wide from warping.
The finish which is perhaps 30 years old is in excellent shape with a few scratches and rubs here and there. When it was redone, it was done sensitively, not totally obliterating all the character of use over the years. Note: there is a bizarre reflection of light on the top surface in the first picture. Just ignore it; its not there in reality.
We will deliver the table anywhere within 200 miles of Richmond for $100. No charge if you want to pick up in Richmond, Virginia.
