Porcelain Bavarian Fruit Bowl, Late 19th C. "J.S." mark
Here's a very pretty transfer-painted oval fruit bowl with hand painted gold highlighting featuring plums, pears and apples on branches. The ornately-scalloped oval bowl is 12" long and 7" wide. On the bottom is impressed a "J.S." mark with three diamonds and "Germany" and a large "B". Another hand painted "B" over the numbers "0553". Overall the condition is excellent aside from a tiny bit of gold rub on the outside edge and a barely-discernible chip which has been smoothed and repainted on the edge above the plums.
