Here is a super nice, seldom seen, and scarce, Popeye, the sailor man, "Well Blow Me Down" slogan premium advertising pinback button to add to your collection. It was very recently acquired and is being offered here for the first time ever. This one came from a small collection of advertising pinback buttons that we purchased. They all will be offered for sale here in our shop. The Evening (Public) Ledger was a newspaper that was in business in Philadelphia from 1914-1942. This button is definitely from the 1930's. It is in excellent condition, with very bright colors. Unfortunately it doesn't have its back paper makers insert, but is still a very clean button. We just noticed the vertical lines in our main photo. This is only in the photo and not on the actual button. It is definitely a photo flaw and nothing else. The lucky buyer of this pinback will definitely be happy with its true condition. This particular Popeye button is probably one of the nicest, and most colorful buttons that you can find with Popeye's likeness on it. It is very well detailed, and measures 1-1/4" across. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Popeye/Comic strip history to your collection. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business. Also just to note, our shipping charges include insurance. We have had too many problems with the U.S. Postal service. We insure every package to protect both the buyer as well as us.
