Here is a very nice "In Memorium" sepia toned photograph pin of Pope Leo the XIII, "The Rosary" Pope to add to your collection. He past away on July 20, 1903, at the age of 93. He was the third oldest Pope to hold that position, from 1878, until his death in 1903. He was known for his intellectualism and his attempts to define the position of the Catholic Church with regard to modern thinking. Pope Leo outlined the rights of workers to a fair wage, safe working conditions, and the formation of labor unions, while affirming the rights of property and free enterprise, opposing both Marxism and capitalism. He influenced Mariology of the Catholic Church and promoted both the rosary and the scapular. This "memory pin" is in excellent condition for its age, and measures 1-1/4" in diameter. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Catholic Church/Papal history to your collection. We attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, so there are no surprises to the lucky buyer. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business.
