Here is a very nice ca. 1898 UMW of America 8 hour lapel pin to add to your collection. It is being offered here for the first time by us. We are dating this pin ca. 1898 because that is the year that the UMW of America got its 8 hour day. So this pin could even be earlier. It is in excellent condition for its age, and is in near mint condition. I don't think that you will find a nicer example than this one! It measures 5/8" across, and has the makers name stamped on the attachment disc. But it is so small, I can't even tell what it says with my loupe. That's how small it is! We have never had this makers stamp on any of our early pins before. If anyone knows what it says, please feel free to send us a note through Ruby Lane. For some reason they won't let us include our email address, which to me is BS, but that is their rules! Any information would be greatly appreciated. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Trade Union/UMW history to your collection. We attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, so there are no surprises to the lucky buyer. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on, or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business.
