Here is a very nice and early, 1930's, Popeye character pin Wimpy, to add to your collection. It is being offered here for the first by us. Some of you might remember him form the old Popeye cartoons. His famous catch phrase was. "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today." I wonder if he ever paid them back? These Popeye character pins were premiums that were put out by the Wheatena cereal company in the 1930's, and which is still in business today. Try it some time, it actually is good, especially on a cold morning in the winter. Anyway this beloved character pin is in excellent condition without any problems at all. The enameling is perfect, and the pin and catch are also both in good working order. It measures 1-3/8" in height, by 13/16" across its widest point. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Golden Age Comic Strip history to your collection. We attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, so there are no surprises to the lucky buyer. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on, or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business.
