Here is a super nice 1937 Radio Orphan Annie Secret Society decoder badge pin to add to your collection. Yes, this is the similar type of badge that young Ralphie Parker waited for to come in the mail, in the now classic 1983 movie, "A Christmas Story." A must see, for those of you who may not have ever seen it. We watch it without fail at least once, during the holiday's. Anyway this Radio Orphan Annie Secret Society decoder badge was acquired originally, by sending away to the Ovaltine Company, (a powder chocolate flavored drink mix.) Which was the sponsor for the very popular NBC classic radio serial, called the Little Orphan Annie show, that ran on the radio from 1931-1942. Like little Ralphie did, at the end of the show, you would get the secret message from Annie for you to decipher with your secret decoder badge. They made these from 1935 through about 1942 or so, and each year they were different in shape and size. So, you could make a collection of them if you wanted to! Anyway this decoder badge is in excellent condition for its age, made of brass, and measures 1-7/8" in height, by 1-13/16" across the center. The pin and catch are fully intact, and in good working order. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Little Orphan Annie radio history to your collection. We attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, so there are no surprises to the lucky buyer. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest.
