Here is a very nice, actually beautiful, Kearny, NJ exempt Fire Department badge to add to your collection. It is is being offered here for the first time by us. Exempt fireman are members who have been continually on duty for a period of 7 years, at least 60% of the time. When this time has been completed by the fireman, they will receive a exempt status certificate. Giving him or her certain privileges concerning times on duty, etc. This badge is probably one of the nicest looking that we have encountered in a long time. It is a gold toned badge on brass, and dates form between 1910's-1920's. It was made by Carns & Bro. New York, and measures 2-1/16" in length, by 1-1/2" across its widest point. Don't miss out on adding this great piece of Fire related history to your collection. We attempt to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, so there are no surprises to the lucky buyer. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business.
