Here is an vintage Brass Rail restaurant waiter's ID badge to add to your collection. I remember going to this establishment back in the early 1960's with my grandfather. The way that I remember it, is that it indeed had a very long, brass railing running the full length of its long bar. With a very large dining area. It was fairly swank for what I can remember. Actually I felt a little out of place there because of its atmosphere, even though it was a little different for me. I remember the waiters being all dressed up, but can't remember at the time, if they were wearing these ID badges. It is possible that they might have done away with them by then? Whatever the case, "this" Brass Rail that I remember is no longer there. This badge is being offered for sale, as found. Not that its in bad condition, but it could stand a little cleaning. I will leave that decision up to the lucky buyer. It measures 1-11/16" in height, by 2-5/16" in width. Don't miss out on adding this piece of NYC restaurant history to your collection. Our photos should tell you just about all of the rest. Please email us with any questions or concerns that you may have. You will be answered in a timely manner. If asking on or near the weekend, give us a little more time to respond, as we may be away on business.
